shopping cart

I've been looking into shopping carts for myself and am at a loss which 1 to use
They all seem to say different things about them all..
Which is the easiest to use and set up as I have never run a shop like this before but do want to learn so I'll be starting from scratch, yes I can go for the easy way again but don't want to I want control of everything.
I don't mind which cart it is as long as it is simple and easy to learn and has different options and add ons ,I have looked at all the usual s but you can't really look at them unless you already have a access ,but I am still struggling for a good name and refuse to be rushed into anything again

Personally i prefer Prestashop, it is still quite young and is getting frequent updates. There's quite a few modules around now and if you want something made special there's some pretty good coders on the Prestashop forums.
Its very easy to install, i can probably do a full installation in 15 minutes. Modules (add-ons) are very easy to install, just upload them to the modules folder on your server, then one click to install it, and another to configure , if necessary.
IMO it is very easy cart to get along with and learn how to learn. Themes/templates aren't too bad to do yourself depends on how much time you have got on your hands, but the default theme itself is usable, unlike Oscommerce and Zen-cart.
Their support forum is a bit hit and miss, but there are a few us there, usually us mods, that answer a lot of the questions that we can.

what I will need is the ability to add a percentage onto a feed I receive from my supplier ,as he will only supply his prices so I will need to be able to add my £££ on

RS Cart is a cart being developed by Rainbow Studios .....
If you're talking feeds produced by us they are currently configured to run on zencart as thats the cart the majority of suppl;iers use, the mark up is configured in the feed files. the feed could be altered to run on another platform.

Finally found out what you meant and been having a great time looking around and experimenting to some sort of degree ,I am starting to like "open cart" but have only scratched the surface of basic control via the control panel ......
is it 1 of the easier carts to use or am i jumping into the deep end before I can swim

Its actually a cart I have never used - many start off on zencart maybe because there is a huge range of templates ready available that with a minimum of work can be made to suit your products, having said that I have heard a lot of good things about opencart, the other one to consider is prestashop

Did you rename the admin folder as in the instructions and then go to the correct admin address?
