Hi all

Forgive me but am going to put here the email that I send to business owners with regards a new Business Journal being launched in the Cambridge area:

Dear business owner,

A unique magazine targeting the heart of the mum market is about to launch in Cambridge, offering fantastic promotional opportunities starting at just £45...

Introduction:

The Business Mum’s Journal is a unique publication, supported by Mothercare, the UK’s leading parenting brand and mumsclub, the UK’s only and award winning business club for mums.

Created by a mum, to inspire more mums into business this magazine provides well researched and informative articles in every edition. There is a 50/50 advertising and editorial split, the advertising is made up of a business directory where mum owned businesses promote their products and a work from home section where providers of business opportunities like to be seen. Editorial is taken from the world of business and mums, interviews with celebrity business profiles. industry experts and millionaire mums

We wholeheartedly support the growth of mum owned businesses therefore we keep the costs of advertising as low as possible. To do this, the growth of the Business Mum’s Journal is via regional editions. The Midlands was the first in 2008 and since launching nationally in January 2010 we are now up to 5 editions covering the Midlands, Dorset, Harrogate, Watford and now Cambridge.

Distribution:

Each regional edition prints and distributed 5,000 copies. 100% are distributed through a number of outlets, our primary venue being our local Mothercare stores.

Other local outlets are:

·         Community Centres

·         Soft Play Centres

·         Members of Mums Business Club (Cambridge)

For this issue:

We are delighted to announce that Dragon Duncan Bannatyne is to be featured in this issue as well as some other well-known names in the public and business arenas.

We have deliberately kept the ad prices low, so they are even better value than ever. But you have to be quick! The advertising deadline for the Cambridge edition is 28th June 2010.

Duplicate adverts in two or more editions will received a 10% discount on the second ad

Booking an ad couldn't be simpler;

Either visit www.cambridge.businessmumsjournal.com  or email your local editorial team on cambridge@businessmumsjournal.com

Thank you for your time and we hope to hear from you soon!

Alison Pinney
Cambridge Editor

Contact me via PM if you like if you wish to take up an ad :-)

PS I have also advertised my own site in both Midlands and Dorset with success :-)

But you're only offering this to Mum owned businesses?

I'm confused.

I know. I just couldn't work out whether it was open to all or just that large group who have children.

It just seemed a strange restriction for businesses who might want to pay to advertise :)

It would make more sense if the adverts were open to owners of businesses that could be run by work-at-home mums, even if owned by non-mums.

They can be :-)

This is the standard email that I have to use from our Head Office but I am open to any advertising that could potentially be open to work at home mums  nah nah

Send me an email or PM if you have something in mind.

We can also now offer text links or banner links from the Journal site to the advertisers website as part of the package thus offering an even greater incentive.  Full details of that are now on the website too  thumbs up
