You have one for your website and set the other to point to your website.

If its the same name just .com instead of .co.uk then it is best parked as you have it - ifyou want to run a blog do it as a different domain else you will cause confusion for your customers if they land on a blog site while expecting a shop

I'm a vote for having both domains point to the same site - as long as the .com one has a permanent redirect. I think having two separate domains defeats the real purpose of having both domain names. I can often remember a website name but not the tld. Since it's usually a .com or a .co.uk, then if you have both I'll always end up on the right site.

If you're going for world domination then make sure you grab the .org one too - you can use that for your charitable foundation when you "retire" and will be forgiven for it not being redirected to the main site  8)

paul, one thing to suggest, because this is a blank domain name with no SEO content, you could also you use a temporary redirect, permanent redirects suit their main purpose when you are migrating domains and you want to retain your SEO marketing effort from old to new as the major search engines will put this into effect with regards to old URLs.

However, given that your simply bolting it on, you could...

use a landing page with a meta refresh on it to go to the new page...
or send a redirect header via php
