Just been on the 'other' place and was sending a PM to a new member who had asked me a question.

I included the link to this forum so they could have a look around here as well and the 'other' place renamed the url as www.thelandofthelame.co.uk lol

Thought the squabbling had stopped but obviously not quite  eyes

thats so bad, so they are checking every personal message, they need to grow up ! Ive noticed a few comments from newbies about the attitudes of people on there and they are so right.

Its just a shame it has so much useful information on there could do with pinching it and sticking it in here lol

i admit to going and reading on there...but wont post, i was never involved in the bitching...but followed it.

As for reading Pm's...that's a move that will come back and bite them in time innit,

I like it here :)

...and soon enough there will come a time where they will become only a place of reference, whilst this forum's pulse and presence will grow stronger  great

 lol

Not talking about the forum Fivewood almost mentions but on another forum with which I had a close association for some years, it wasn't that PMs were read but filters made to spot certain words or links which may be passed. For some links or words it was filtered straight to the owners inbox but others were automatically modified. This was using a different framework though so I couldn't say if that is possible on the software used.

I think you're right with that Baa. The software can be configured to filter certain words, urls etc and change them to something else. I reckon that's what's happened as I can't see anyone actually taking the time to read all the PMs that go on.
