Having been burgled a good few years ago whilst I slept I can empathise with fivewood

But I dont really think that theft is a sign of the times as such, ( bearing in mind this happened nearly 13 years ago and I got off light because the baby woke up and therefore my getting up disturbed them)
 
they left half the stuff in my lounge, and even it appears returned a little later to pick it up whilst the police were sitting with me taking a statement, their answer at the time was they knew who it was, the same people responsible for a spate of burglaries in the area but they couldn't catch them ..... there was me expecting a classic keystone cops turnout when they recognised the vehicle turning around at the top of the road ... but no they carried on drinking tea ..

meanwhile afterwards they insisted they fingerprint anyone who had been in the house within the previous few weeks, a fair few considering i had a newborn baby at home ........ What a waste of resources when they knew who was responsible !!

Seriously I have been burgled once - its not nice, neither was the two days in the cells i got when I found him

Sign of the times?? nah, been happening for millennia, mine was 30 years ago, what I do feel is a sign of the times is the the almost acceptance of it both as victims and the so called justice system.
