After a bash on the head last week and a couple of trips to hospital for it I may still be in LaLaLand here but I'm positive I've managed to do something like this before but can't for the life of me remember how to do it.

I have a Pictish image I'm determined to trace onto metal but I only want the round part and not the rest. Now I know about the extract and magic eraser tools but I'm almost certain I've singled out a circular parts of images before, very easily by using the select and invert tools. I can't replicate the action now and never made an action when I last did it (so much for saving time by not recording it)

Am I dreaming or is there really an easy way of doing this.
