Please can anyone give me advice and help with my websitewww.sirajjewellery.com it has been up and running for 5 months with only 3 sales.  Google analytics say around 1400 visitors a month - was high in Google page ranking if search for silver gemstone jewellery, now it has dropped in the page rankings.  Cannot understand - any help or advice would be greatly received.  Many thanks.  Laura  happy

Have had a quick look around , one thing i did notive that the only address showing anywhere is a PO Box address ?? Would be nice to see a real address on there and I'm unsure without checking i dont think a PO Box is sufficient in the eyes of the law , i daresay someone will correct me if im wrong on that

Will go back for a better look later.

Does your jewellery comply with the Hallmarking Law? 925 is purely a millesimal stamp that anyone can buy and not an assay office mark.

I can't open the terms link on your site.

Just wondering what the point of the top navigation is if you have to click the side nav anyway?

Safe shopping box is empty on checkout

As you have Google analytics have you set up any goals for see what people are doing on your site and if they are going to check out? If they are not getting to checkout, where are they going? Seeing which pages are regularly abandoned can really help tweak the site for your customers.

As far as I am aware you cannot call silver Sterling silver without an assay stamp unless under 7grams - ( someone can correct me in this as knowledge is limited )

No address - not acceptable under the law to use a PO box address only

You claim 3 sales in 5 months yet you have 6 testimonials - Lying is never a good business policy

You claim prices include VAT yet again under the law you are supposed to have your VAT number on the site - if you are not VAT registered then you cannot claim prices include VAT

Site looks presentable however your terms are dotted around in FAQ's - you have no terms of contract, your returns policy is not clearly defined

More and more customers are becoming web savvy  and look for the contact details and terms before parting with cash especially on high value items and with an 0845 tel number, no terms and no address i would certainly not buy from you - especially as you have masked the whois as well - add it all up and there is plenty to feel nervous about.

Not far off, it's 7.78grams for silver.

The Hallmarking Law is enforced as well, not like some which appear to be little more than guidelines, last year a number of businesses were targeted for selling jewellery that were outside the exemptions weights.
