I thought it would be a good idea to have a sub page ( hope thats the right name ) under the terms and conditions page so that I could put postage information etc
I've set the new page up and put it under the parent of terms and conditions
but its not showing up am I doing something wrong ??? or have I got the wrong end of the stick

You can position the link wherever you want - if you click on menu and then menu2 you can see what I have done
Just add the page to the menu then drag the link to where you want it - notice the subpage is offset to the right
