Hmm

Think I must have gone wrong somewhere...
Backed up the site 2
Deleted the add on domain
Recreated the add on domain the location as /newsite
FTP'd the files from your backup to the newsite

Can get into the admin panel OK and everything is there but
When I type in  the site URL all I get is a blank page   huh

Any ideas?

Going to do it all again in case I missed something out

you should be able to set the location of the install in your admin panel, hit your PREFERENCES tab in admin and make the necessary change,
this would'v been set automatically when you installed it, but seeing as its in a new directory, you'll need to change that to reflect the new directory

Thanks Seamus - I had done that

Woke up early this morning and was thinking about this, started looking to see if i'd missed any files and noticed that the file permission states had all reset when being moved transferred back.

Changed all these to the correct state and hey presto - everythings good  thumbs up

Suppose there's a motto in their somewhere
Either
a) Do it properly the 1st time
or
b) Do it properly the 2nd time
 wink
