DHL Service Point

Thought this might be of use to some people.

It allows you to send parcels by DHL from High Street locations. I haven't looked into it in any detail so I cant really comment on what it's like although I suspect it might be a bit pricey.

Think this one has been discussed before, not here but somewhere else.

I think i'm right in saying that the price is actually very competitive if not cheap, the downside is that the customer also has to pick the item up from the service point not have it delivered to their door.

I've checked my area and my closest location is 30 mins drive yet i work for dhl and our depot is only 5 mins drive from my house, almost seems this is another way that dhl want to ship parcels without using their van delivery network, lets face it if they add another 20 parcels to a large trunk wagon it'll mainly be profit but drivers that collect and deliver from the depot to the door cost money and some are even paid by the drop.

Must say i've not heard of anything to do with this service so can't comment on its workings or reliability.
