It you sign into Cpanel and look for the awstats icon, click that and you can view quite detailed stats about your visitors, if I remember rightly, you've got a site built on WordPress so there are loads of plugins you can use to show you stats in your WordPress admin, have a search for a plugin called visitor maps, its alright. There are loads of stats plugins for WordPress, have a search, go into your WordPress admin, click plugins and then use the search function in there to have a look for plugins,
great

I asked the 'plug in' question a while back.  Have a gander through some earlier posts as I got some really helpful replies that explained it perfectly

Hope this may help

Hi Seamus,

When you say sign into cpanel, do you mean my dashboard?  If not have you some very simple step by step instructions of how to sign into cpanel please?

Many thanks :D

no, Cpanel is your hosting accounts control panel, your admin dashboard is different,

if you add /cpanel onto the end of your web address (www.yourdomainnamehere.co.uk/cpanel) and go to that url it should give you a login page, enter in your Cpanel login details (these are the same as your ftp login details) that will sign you into cpanel, in there, you have an awstats function that gives you all the visitor info for the website that is attached to that hosting account.

If you have problems, email or PM me or Rainee and we'll send you over your login details if you are having problems signing in, and be careful that you dont try and login with the wrong details too many times, the server likes to automatically IP ban you if you get the password wrong too many times within a given time limit,

Hi Seamus

Thanks for the info, I got as far as entering my ftp login details.  I tried my WP login ID and password, that disn't work so before I get banned I just wanted to check what my 'ftp' login is?

Many thanks again

Hello, Lavenders blue!

I would recommend free Google Analytics service, it allows you to track activity on your website, you can see how people found your site, most popular pages of your website and much more. Just go to www.google.com/analytics . First you will need to create an account and then you'll be shown a code to place on your site. There are lots of information about Google Analytics in the Internet and it's advantages.

Hi

Agree... Google analytics is free and more accurate than most server visitor counters.

We offer an analytics set up service for all sites @ £20.

Call us if you would like us to set this up for you.
