Morning ...

Just a quickie ...

Is there anyway that any of you know of that i can stop skype sending me alerts and messages from people i don't know ?

I mean do i really need to know that michelle from humberside is looking for some 'fun'

There will be privacy options somewhere I'd guess... I stopped using it for that reason alone, and the Skype plugin for IE was killing my PC and the bugger wouldnt shift.

Morning

Glad you are keeping Skype :)

You need to go to Tools -> Options

In there there are 3 places you can change, the first is in the Privacy Tab, the second is in the Call Settings Tab and the third is in the IM & SMS Tab.

It should become clear when you look in these places but you can change the settings to, for example, 'Allow Calls from' ... 'people in my contact list only' instead of 'anyone'

Hehe Michelle from humberside having fun?? lucky girl :) ive used skype for years and not once come across messages like that, a bit worrying though as my young sons use skype on their lappy!

I didnt realise Skype had that function.

Lucky you Zola - it was the single most reason I gave up on Skype - the "spam" content was extremely high
