Im setting up a small online store that will have a paypal button thats connected to my wifes premier account. We did it like this just to get it up and running quickly, and I am struggling to get a bank account for a paypal account. Once I do, can I then swap from my store paying into my wifes into mine...is this an easy operation?
Thankyou

May I ask what software you are using for your sales and secondly, why are you using paypal buttons?

there are plenty of open source (free to use) shopping cart systems around and pretty much all come with paypal processors as standard, there is no real need to use paypal buttons on a site anymore

if you do use a decent open source cart, changing the paypal account is quite straight forward

To Baa, thanks for the reply...I'm very new to this and did not realise using a paypal button was outdated. I have seen stuff on the web about free shopping carts but why would some one want a third party involved? More things likely to go wrong? I sell paintings so was just going to have a pay pal button next to them. Are these shopping carts the way to go then?

If you are using Paypal buttons to use then surely you're already using software and hosting? I'm not sure where a third party comes into it other than the hosting.

It's something few people actually ask themselves when going into e-commerce, including some of the big chains, but what is the intended function of the website and how do you envisage it helping your business? Without knowing the functions you need and whether you're looking at mainly offline sales with an online presence and gallery with payment functions or a mostly online sales approach, I can't offer any further advice.

if you download an open source shopping cart system, as Baa said, the only third part involved would be the hosting company.

When I say "free to use open source software" I dont mean a hosted solution ran by a third party, I mean using software that you can download, install on your website and use for free, there is no third party.

Have a look at zen cart, prestashop, open cart and wordpress (there are more)
