There seems to be alot of people for and against these.

I have looked at it and cannot see what it offers over my iphone ???

Ok it has a larger screen but i cannot make calls from it and against a netbook it rates quite poorly as it can only run one app at a time.

I am usually one of these people that needs every gadget under the sun but on this i think i will give it a miss unless some hardcore apple users can convince me why this would also be needed when i have an iphone ??

why would you want an ipod when you have a iphone - you already have an ipod built in - obviously depending on the memory on your phone
One small problem is that the iphone battery life is not great so you can run out of power for your phone easily if listening to music all the time.

The iPad seems to be a bit pointless to me. Too small to be a proper laptop and too large to be any use as a phone.

I think Apple have created something for a market that doesn't exist with this one.

I like the look and the genral idea where i struggle is it only running 1 item at any one time.

It is the same size as the netbook i use and is basically an iphone with a 10" screen which is allways going to be better but dose it warrant a £300-£350 price tag ??

At the risk of getting banned  devil

Apple announced today that it has developed a breast implant that can store and play music.
The iTit will cost from $499 to $699, depending on cup and speaker size.
This is considered a major social breakthrough, because women are always complaining about men staring at their breasts and not listening to them.

Okay so here are my thoughts regarding the Apple iPad.

Firstly lets remember that this is the 1st Generation of iPad.  From a financial and business perspective Apple are being clever, but annoying at the same time.  The people that are gonna buy the 1st Gen iPad are going to be Apple fans, the Apple geeks(you know who you are, anything Apple you have to have it).  This is where Apple will make most of their initial sales.  Most people will wait for the 2nd gen when it will most likely have the camera added among other things such as the e-book shelf as standard, which it is'nt at the mo'.

Now for one of its major selling points, and a point that is very valid and could change the future of ebook readers.  The iPad is a FULL colour display, perfect for books, comics, newspapers, magazines and advertising.  This is the way forward...it is the future of books and the iPad will play a major roll in this.  Amazon have stated that 30% of their sales are e-books.

I hope I have made sense.  I have written this out a little too fast. Why I hear you ask? I wanna go chat!  That's why : )
