message on leather

Hi
I need a bit of help if possible .A customer wants to purchase a flask but it is made of leather ,is there any way to put a message on leather and as the leather is part of the flask sewing is out of the question

the only thing I can think of is some form of pyrography

If the leather is already attached to the flask you might have some difficulty. You can dye/stain leather and emboss it as well as using pyrography but as it's on the flask none of these may be all that feasible.

You could ask an engravers shop if they do that kind of thing or know someone who can but as leather work usually requires the ability to manipulate the hide, whether it can be done on the flask is another matter.

Sorry Andy - I missed this. I can help you on this one. I have a tool called the HOT FOIL PRINT MASTER. It looks like a soldering iron or a pyrography tool (it can be used for this too I believe) and you can FOIL EMBOSS wording onto leather and all sorts of materials. I havent used mine to it's full potential yet but they are cheap - mine cost £49 (they were £99 a couple of years ago) and they need a little practise to get used to holding them but they are proper cool.
