I have a form printed off the hmrc site but its asking for the supplier and how its being delivered I don't know that yet.

You could call HMRC and ask them.

I had to have one of these numbers recently and I didnt have all the information I needed, like invoice as it comes with the parcel, but I sent the Paypal request.  I also took a photograph of my passport to send by email to show I was a real person LOL.

It is always best to be prepared.  I had a parcel come in and Fedex called me to say they had it and they wanted my VAT no. or eori number and it took over a week to release my parcel - not a happy bunny when I had customers waiting!

I just had a chat with a lovely sexy voiced tax man mmmmmmmmmmmm

I can't apply for my Eori number until my first consignment is on the way because of info etc... needed on the form. After that my number is ready he also suggested a commodity code to make sure I am paying the right duty.

£18 or less no VAT to be paid
over £135 duty is to be paid.

so he said. ( hope I ujnderstood him right i was drooling over his scottish accent)

Also suggested I download and read this
