I have decided to test the market waters by starting off with a Facebook shop! I have chanced upon VendorShop which seems to be fairly good except I can't find a way to let a customer select a delivery/collection date for their items. Is this possible with VendorShop?

If not is there any other apps for FB that would allow me to do this? Preferably free ones  gasp

Seriously - Facebook should be used for marketing not e-commerce - get yourself a real e-commerce platform and use FB to drive traffic to your site

That is the plan WHEN I have both the time and I have tested the waters. I am fully aware of the limitations of selling on FB but at the moment I want to do things in stages to fit around other commitments.

I am not really asking for advice on whether I should have a shop on FB or not. I am asking if there is any FB shop apps with a date picker? I've since found out VendorShop does not hence now asking if any others have the date picker.

The reason I posted is that you re in fact increasing your workload - if you start off selling on FB then you cannot just up sticks and transfer your links to your own shop, you gain no historical traffic. In addition FB change the rules at the drop of a hat so your "shop" application may or may not continue to work. You spend time driving traffic to FB rather than your own site therefore creating issues for you in the future.

But choice is up to you, asking for advice on FB "shop" applications is like your wife asking "does my bum look big in this" there is no right answer

As far as i am aware there isnt a free facebook app that includes a date picker , you would be hard pushed to find a paid facebook app that includes a datepicker too , add to that the fact that the majority of facebook apps will become obselete very soon without a dedicated ssl and you may find that in the long term it would be more worth your while to communicate with your customers via email about available dates rather than rely on a facebook app , its a very old fashioned way of doing it buit would work well in the interim , date pickers are generally paid add ons to free software as it isnt a commonly requested feature , its rarely used outside of the floristry/balloon industry
