Hi all, some of you know me from Facebook and RSSBN, those of you that don't, it's not too late to run like a bat out of hell!!!
Anyway I'm Sam AKA Yammas Crafts and I'm as mad as a hatter. I like making the guys on RSSBN laugh by talking about Farts - cool but sometimes smelly subject but it does always raise a giggle. As my "normal self" I work at my daughters school as a teaching assistant and as a dinner lady or to give the new posh title Midday Supervisory Assistant so hence me being slightly madder than I am normally when I'm not there....well a girl has to let off steam sometime  cow ooo look, a mad cow...sorry easily distracted as Rainee will attest to.
Well if I haven't scarred you for life or scared you of yet, please feel free to say hi coz I don't bite....honest  lol

Yoohoo!  nah nah

Oh! How did you get into being a teaching assistant? Do you need any sort of qualifications? I think I need to return to employment for a bit & get some cash flowing... I have big plans for the Twisted empire... but no cash to sink into them! lol I fancy a more interesting job than office admin though & reckon I'd enjoy being a TA (been working on a part time/casual basis as an Exams Invigilator for the last year)... plus the working hours are pretty kind & you get (most of) the school hols! lol

gasp - scuse you Nicky, that was a smelly one!
Twisted, no you don't need special qualifications as so far all my "training" has been on the job. I've often seen them advertised in the jobs sections of the paper but I started as a dinner lady last September at my daughters school, and I think it was January, the head asked if I would be interested in being a 1:1 for a little boy in class 1, I said yes and the rest is history. I think if they decide you need training in specific areas they send you on a course and the pay while it is good, it gets evened out through the year so you get paid during the hols  :D

Cool thanks Sam!

*takes off dark glasses* It's me! Louise!  8)

Must sort out a signature on here... I might have a chat with the school I'm at then... The Invigilation's OK, but obviously very seasonal, so you get good money in May/June, but the rest of the year's kind of patchy. Nov/Dec can be OK though, depending how many are re-sitting their exams! lol

Peek a boo Lou! Sorry hun i forget who is who sometimes - there are only 2 reasons why i remember myself, 1 is it's my name backwards and 2, as a kid I was given a book which was personalised for me and as the people that got it for me called me Sammy my friend in the book (which was a giraffe incidentally) was called Ymmas. Unfortunately I don't have the book anymore - it was a casualty of my divorce somewhere along the line, but it's always stayed with me in my head (well there is plenty of room up there  lol )
