hi, after some advice thinking off moving from Mr site as had enough of the awful customer service, and it keep crashing! My main concern is that if i move my rankings will faill i am currently appearing on page 1 and 2 for a lot of my keywords i use the Mr site pro version so it has a lot of the site boosting tools.

Can anyone recommend any where else and do you know if i move if i am likely to see a fall in my keywords? It would need to be a site i can ammend etc myself and idealy i would like one where when adding things into your cart you can have a variety of options (eg choose different lengths then choose different shapes)

Thanks for reading

Hi Emma
You can keep all your keywords etc and even the layout of your site, although this will probably cost a bit more than using stock templates. It shouldn’t really affect your rankings.
Have a word with some of guys on here,  seamus and Rainee Bows both offer website design, scotserve offers hosting. I’m sure they could do something for you.

Emma
I have moved quite a number of Mr Site sites and can offer you a range of carts all of which will do what you want
You may find that your rankings are boosted after you move as so many of the links in your current site are related to mrsite domain not your own

Looking at basic rankings just now you have an Alexa of 7 million which is very low - Many of the independent carts have far more sophisitacted SEO than Mr Site provides

BTW Mr Site will charge you for releasing the domain name

Wha I would suggest is getting a new site up and ready to switch properly SEO'd that way you are unlikely to drop any rankins, however if you drop Mr Site before you put the new site in place then you will damage rankings.

Emma I moved from mr site to Scotserve and I had to pay to release my domain name even though I had it before mr site and I can tell you know its was  money well spent. I know of 2 others who have moved from mr site to Bryon too.

My ranking got better when I moved as it was easier for me to do the seo' ing and keywords.

to add,

you can build a site on a new hosting account, and once the site is done you can add the domain name to it, that way you dont have much down time at all.
Build the new site before you cancel your mr site package, that way your original website will still be there while you're testing new software (you have quite a few different types of software to choose from) and when you do transfer your domain over, you will have all of a couple of hours of down time (depending on how quick the DNS takes to update) and visitors dont end up on a site thats half built.

send Bryon (scotserve) a message, he'll keep you right, and if you need a complicated design, as said, there are the likes of me and Rainee that can do that for you if needs be
