I have received 1 email complaint and am well aware of the situation as it goes on
However people are not helping themselves - I will copy below an email just sent
As much as I am sympathetic and aware of the situation I have some legal issues I need to contend with
1) Although this site is on our servers it is hosted through a reseller
2) We cannot accept anonymous emails as a complaint and we simply cannot pull down a site on the strength of one
3) We are also the registrar for this domain
4) We are under contract to supply hosting if we pull down a site and the complaints turn out to be unfounded then we could be sued for breach of contract.
We can and do act upon legal notifications of fraud etc. however there is a specific way this must be done, Have you tried contacting Paypal? we would respond quickly to a request from them if fraud is suspected, we would also respond to legal notification.
I am sure you can understand that suspending a site based on one anonymous email is not an option else every competitor would try the same thing, although we are aware of some issues with SG we have received no formal requests from anyone.
We as much as anyone are concerned if any form of fraud is being committed on our servers but we simply cannot act upon anonymouse emails, there is a huge difference between bad business and fraud as such we need to either have legal notification or several verifiable complaints.
If you wish send an email to
abuse@scotserve.co.uk detailing the complaint, you will need to send your full name and contact details anonymous emails will be deleted.
I also strongly suggest you make formal complaints to Paypal not just chargebacks with a view to them contacting ourselves.
Other than as a supplier of hosting we have no contact with this company so i will not get involved in the dispute itself I am only interested in making sure our servers are not used against our terms and conditions.
