Hello All

I am not too embarrassed to admit that I have OCD, Obsessive Compulsive Disorder and manage to run my own business.  I was just wondering if any of you have, or have had any kind of 'mental health' issues whether it be depression, bi-polar disorder, OCD or anything that effects the way you run your business.  It would be really interesting to hear from you.

Many thanks

I am quite happy to embrace my 'inner loon'.  We all have one, to some extent or another.  I'm more than happy for anyone to e-mail me if they don't want to 'fess up' in public.

Must go and re-arrange my pencils.

Alex :D

devil  yup have the meds and doctors note to prove it. Just finished my do hickies with the cpn woman.

I have noticed also there was an article in one of the papers many of us artistic types have issues one way or another of the mental side. toothy grin

I don't mind admitting it there will be times when you won't hear from me for a while that will be either cos i am working or need some ' leave me the hell alone or i will rip ya head off ' time. Other types I go other way and I am soooooooooooooo hyper but paranoid lmao.

I am learning to cope with that. Its amazing how we do cope though when some ( not all ) ' normal ' types will just fall apart.

Yip I do!!  I suffer from SAD in the winter months!  I start my meds early, usually the end of August, so that I don't go into major depression, and then I usually stop taking them in May when the nicer weather comes.

Its not easy since I have a 7yr old and a 10yr old too, but getting out certainly helps to keep me on a fairly even keel! :)

Quite the opposite.

I had several assessments with a psychoanalyst some years back and he reported that I was "The sanest and most well balanced individual" he'd ever met. Considering his job I've always been a little wary of that line but my clear and balanced sanity does explain why I'm a complete social misfit.  lol (J/K)

Of course any right handers are never in their right mind so you may have good company.  whistle wink  whistle

I am a left handed, anti-social misfit with OCD.  I run a garden nursery in Cornwall and usually take most of the morning to psyc myself up to open the gates.  Somedays I can't face 'my public' at all.  Not the greatest way to run a business, but I am persevering.

I do apprecialte all your responses.

Many much thanks from the Cornish asylum

 great
