Totally confused How do I get my products on to google base, just cant work out how to create a feed. My host is offering a tool for £39.00 a year for a tool to do the job but surely thats defying the object when its free to use google base ? Is there any free software out there to do the same job ?

there are plenty of googlebase modules about, the problem is they probably wont work on the site you've got seeing as its not a standard cart system, its been changed to suit the provider which means that the mods that should just slot in, wont.
without knowing more about the cart system, I cant really recomend anything

I'd hazard a guess if you could find out which cart your software is based on then the free mod may still be usable , depends wether changes have been made to the core files , problem being you cant install them without ftp access ... do you have ftp access ? the other issue being in your contract it may state that to allow others to use your access details will put you in breach of your contract with your provider , they havent really left you much of an option other than to put up and pay up by the looks of it. Next question, would google base actually be worth all this effort, or the stumping up of £40 ?
Its not worth paying out if its not going to really make that much difference.

I dont tend to use google base, but I have installed it on plenty of people sites, whether it makes a difference Im not sure, some people think so, others dont. I personally havent used google base as I dont think it generates much more sales, others might disagree though.

About a quarter of our visitors now come from the Google product links rather than the standard search results so I'd say definitely worth it.

I would like to suggest you to do your self.. Just go for Google and type Google Base feed, you'll get all necessary information about how to put your products on Google base...

Hi there,
I would also add your products to Google. The only thing I would check if you are selling products that other people are selling double check google base to see if there already there and see what prices they are advertising.

Has anyone started to add the additional info required to Google Base uploads, ie. Unique Product Identifiers, Brand etc, I haven't yet but have had warnings that they are missing. As I have 1500 items listed this could be a mammoth job.

My feeds are still being accepted but its says info missing. As I get most of my traffic from organic search or return customers not sure if I should bother altering my feed.
