I am trying to remove add ons that I don't used anymore
I have removed all the files but am still left with the setting in the configuration drop down menu
I can't seem to find where to remove it
it's cross sell

any help please :)

there must still be files left in your admin folder that you havent removed yet ;)

I've been though every folder 3 times  ,all links have been deleted yet it is still there ..the link under catalog has gone
I know there is still something hanging around just don't know where

go through the cross sell mod files that you've got on your computer and see where all of them are meant to go, this will give you an idea if you have missed any files.
If there was an sql patch to install, you should have an uninstall.sql file in the mod, just run the sql file as an sql patch in admin to uninstall the mod.

(I cant remember off the top of my head if there was an sql patch to install with that mod)

nope there wasn't 1 but found a thread with 1 in ..ran it but it is still there
I've been though the folder files and they are definitely gone
grrr  just been though them again
the other add on I removed went with no problem
