Just wondering if anybody else has has this?

According to the Prestashop stats built into my site I had 127 visits one day
but
According to Google Analytics on the same day I had 24....
This isnt the first time I have seen this, in fact almost every day there is some discrepancy between the two

Which one is likely to be most accurate?
I'm tending to favour the PS stats as surely built in stats are likely to be more accurate than those created by relying on a piece of embedded code?

But I'm not sure

I think it is because analytics and many other trackers use javascript to track where visitors go on sites.  If the visitor has javascript turned off, or it is being blocked by their browser, then they cannot track them.

Also remember the google analytics are 24 hours behind - many have fallen into this one :)

Thanks guys

Dont suppose you know if Google analytics tracks bots as visits?
I think PS does and I guess that could add to the differences as well

Also if your tracking code is installed in the footer of your page, and your visitor clicks away before the page has finished loading, then that click wont be tracked correctly.

I had also noticed the difference in google stats and PS and wasnt sure which one was more accurate.

I have had a large amount of page views before in a short space of time which were from google, i assumed this was the google bots.

I had this morning by 9.05am had about 128 page views although i only had one site visitor when i looked up the ip it was somewhere in mumbai any idea what thats all about as surely nobody has read every single page in the space of 10 minutes (i dont even ship international). Could this just be PS telling fibs ?
