Newbie here who would like showing around please

Hi i am looking at offering to make patchwork quilts and other such items, and really am just looking for advice on what to do to get, all the necessary bits and pieces in place. I cannot see me making much from it as i have 2 young children (2 yrs and 9 months) and mind a third during the day, so this is truly just an evening and weekend thing. As a childminder i am self employed so am unsure how to go about setting up this separate part, as i only do what is considered part-time hours as a childminder as i only do 4 days a week.
Also what advice would you have on getting a website/domain server, i am computer savvy but this is just an area completely out of my zone of knowledge.
Thankyou

I can help you out with the domain and hosting side of things PM me if you want any help
As you are already self employed then you would not need to do anything further registratio wise as any income made from this would just be added to your annual tax statement
There are lots of craft based businesses on here and am sure many operate just a few hours a day it is a good way to start but do remember as soon as you start advertising things for sale there are laws you need to comply with ( yeh yeah I know i sound like a broken record)
Anyway good luck and if I can help in any way just shout.

@scotserve, hi, Perhaps you could please answer my question re. terms and conditions? I don't sell on line, just have a very basic website for information and a facebook page. I do sell to the public, coming into the nursery. Do you know if I need to display 'terms and conditions'?
I am clearly clueless.
Many thanks in advance.

If you are selling face to face then no, however there are changes afoot within the EU that may make DSR's part of shop selling as well
Having a set to terms when selling face to face would not be a bad thing though and they dont need to include all the clauses that apply to online sales.

I would have a set of terms and conditions on the website anyway, covering on and offline sales and just refer people to the website for Ts&Cs
to make sure your terms and conditions actually stand, you just need to include somthing like this on your receipts
"for our full terms and conditions see our website yoursite.co.uk"
and its easy enough to print a set out for people if its requested

OK if you are going to offer your customers the same terms online and offline but many of the online clauses will be redundant and you cant ensure they have actually seen them

So should I have a set of T&C available 'in store' for face to face customers rather than publish them on line? If so, is there anywhere I can access general T&C and apply them directly to my business, plant sales?
I am already very grateful for your time, but if there is any chance you could please point me in the right direction? I'll treat you to a cream tea anytime you are passing through Cornwall.
Thanks again
