Hmmmmmm

Thats funny because as a parcel delivery driver working for a company that doesn't really need to be named our depot hasn't heard anything.

I'll drop the name around in the morning and see what comes back.

It's true that Home Delivery Network have bought out the next day and 48 hour service of DHL and nothing will change until the end of March but as yet we are hearing nothing more yet on the floor. The drivers that are employed will also be covered under TUPE so there are lots of rumours going round about that too.

The main problem that the drivers saw was that Home Delivery only have approx 5% of their deliveries that NEED a signature where as DHL are running at about 95%, its a competitive market out there and to be honest there are real deals to be had, alot depends on quantity, even if you have to club together with a few other local companies and get your parcel count up you can then drive a harder bargain price wise.

Regards Dave
