From my own experience, best methods to get free traffic are 1. writing press releases and submitting them to press release directories which allow links in the press release body. 2. Facebook fan page where you can post everything concerning your business (try to find target audience and invite them to your page). 3. Sure, site optimization: meta keywords, meta description, good site content. 4. Leave comments on blogs and forums where you can give a link to your site, but never spam!
